I was asked to be an artist for our annual Celebrate the Arts week on Friday. I sat outside one of our local downtown businesses for three hours and did what I do best…..STAMP!! and of course chit chat with anyone who stopped to see what I was doing!!!! I didn't want to haul my entire arsenal of Stampin' Up! stuff so I chose some basic supplies and some sets that I enjoy coloring and this is what I came up with.
A set of notecards using the Embrace Life Stamp set with Elegant Cheer. I had my markers with me so I colored in the blossoms with Barely Banana, So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac. The banana/saffron combo is my favorite. The leaves were stamped as a background behind the main image and I used some of my Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals as an accent.
Here is the same set using Simply Said
The stamps sets are Simply Said, Sincere Salutations, and Hugs & Wishes. I used the same supplies as the group above and also added some Vintage Brads
I took a close-up of the banana/saffron combo so you can see why I like it so much. The Saffron is the perfect compliment to the Banana.
Here are some of the indivudual cards
