Lookie at what I made…..a Garden Stake!!! With your Big Shot Machine, some roof flashing and a stake, you can create some too.
I purchased a roll of roof flashing at my local hardward store. It is also available in 5×7 sheets. I cut pieces of the roof flashing with our Craft & Rubber Scissors, ran them through the Big Shot with a variety of our Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and then chose a few Bigz dies for my shapes. I had better luck emobssing first and then cutting.
I used the Crop-a-dile to punch the holes and a hot glue gun to attach my layers so we shall see how it holds up. :-) The two pieces are attached to a Sign Holder post that I found in the same hardware store for about a buck.
I colored my Basic Pearls with a black sharpie marker before adding them to the butterflies and the Antique Brad is poked all the way through the flowers.
Here are some close-ups of each piece, click on them to make them larger:
I put it in a whiskey barrell I have in the front yard and now it greets my visitors along with my garden flag. If we ever get spring around here, I will get my flowers back in this pot!!
I found this idea by Laura Haffke on the Stampin' Connection website for demonstrators. There are so many ideas on that site and it is just one more reason to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Right now you can join my team of demonstrators all over the country with our Digital + Starter Kit at a 30% savings AND get a FREE stamp set from me out of the new catalog in July. Read about it here and email/call me with any questions you may have. I would love to chat with you about the best job in the world!!!
