Easy Events and a short tip

This is one of the cards we made at last weeks monthly card class.  We used the Easy Events stamp set for the main image and colored it in with Stampin' Write Markers and Blender Pens.  Easyeventstreenettingclose Can you see the fine line I drew around the top of the tree with my Crumb Cake Marker, this adds dimension to the tree and it is soooo easy!  I opted to add some clouds to the scene and they come from the Up, Up & Away stamp set.

Order the supplies to make this card in my Online Store.

The large layer was stamped with the NEW Netting Background Stamp in Pool Party.  We used the Brayer to add the ink to the stamp for smooth, even coverage.  The White Baker's Twine really shows off the focal point.  The gals really loved this card.  You can come make five all occasion greeting cards every month in my monthly card class.  We meet the first Thursday of every month at 6:00.  Contact me for more information.

Back TIP FROM BARB: Here is a shot of the back of my Wild Wasabi layer to show you how I added the twine.  Each corner was punched with the Ticket Corner Punch and then wrapped with the twine.   I started in one corner and secured the end with a Mini Glue Dot.  Wrap the twine around the front along one edge and then come to the back on the diagonal.  Continue this until you have all four corners done.  The little Rose Red heart is from the Owl Builder Punch.

Buy 3 Get One FREE!!!  Any of the $10.95 Designer Series Papers shown on pages 184-186 are part of this special.  Hurry and place your orders, this fabulous deal ends August 31st.

Frozen Shoulder update:  Still in alot of pain and now my left shoulder is really starting to exhibit the same signs.  I have an appt with the Ortho Doc tomorrow and hopefully he will have some good news on how to prevent the left shoulder from following the same path.  Keep your fingers crossed for me as I have not been sleeping (even worse than with one bad shoulder) and pretty much in pain all day.  Thank you for all your kind comments and prayers, they are much appreciated!!

  1. I see your work on Paper Punch Addiction and this card is great – especially love your tip on using the Baker’s Twine and making this great frame on the focal point! TFS!

  2. Barb : So sorry to hear that you’re condition is not improving. Will send extra prayers your way. Even with all your pain, you are still able to create wonderful works of art!
