Triangle Box-Tutorial

I love making boxes for small gifts and this one is sure to please the recipient.  It is called a Triangle Box and here is a step-by-step tutorial to make it.

Traingleboxsaffron

Cut your card stock or designer paper to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and score it in half at 4 1/4

4onequarter

Then put little hash marks at the 2 1/8 mark on both of the short ends.

2oneeighth  Hashmark

Lay your piece on your paper cutter so the score line in the middle and one of the hash marks is on the track, close the guide and score.

  Wheretoscore

Do this four times so your piece of paper looks like this with large triangles in the middle of both sides.

Donescoring

Fold up on all score lines

Foldedup

Fold it up so one side has its flaps over the other side.

Beforepunching

Punch 1/8 holes in the middle of each side.  You will be punching through two layers at a time.

1stpunch   2ndpunch

Now to create the fun scallop on the front.

Cut two small pieces of the printed So Saffron ribbon from the Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals

Ribbbonpieces

Add a glue dot to the FRONT of each piece near one end.

Ribbonongluedot

Place these on top of each other on the back of a Basic Black Scallop (sorry about the bad picture)

Ribbononback

Stamp the flower trio from One of a Kind in So Saffron on Whisper White and punch it out with the Boho Blossoms Punch

Add a Black Brad from the Vintage Brads pack.  Punch a 1 3/8" circle out of Whisper White, 1 1/4" circle out of So Saffron and a 1" circle out of Basic Black.  Now you have five pieces to stack.

5pieces   Stackedpieces

Add this element to the front of the box.

Scalloponoutside

Add some treats, and thread the ribbon through the holes on one side.

Ribbon1

Then bring the other side down and continue threading the ribbons through the other two holes.

Ribbon1

Tie it into a bow and you are done!!
