Be sure to check out my other tutorials in the left side bar.
Start with a 12×12 piece of card stock. Stamp the entire sheet with your favorite images or you can wheel it. I chose to wheel mine as it takes no time at all to do this. I used the Petals Jumbo Wheel in Real Red. Decorate the flaps of your envelopes too.
After you stamp or wheel the 12×12 piece, cut it in half so you have two 6 x 12 pieces.Take one piece and cut it into four 3 x 6 Love Notes.
Score the other piece at 1 1/4 and 4 3/4 on the short side and at 2 1/8, 5 5/8,5 7/8, 9 3/8 and 9 5/8 on the long side.
Cut out the four corners and the two small middle pieces. Cut these at angles so the pouch will be easier to fold. You will now have your love notes and the pouch.
Here is the pouch cut on angles, scored and pre-folded
Stamp four images to be punched out for the Love Notes, the Circle of Friendship set that is on special this month would be great for this project. Punch these out with the 1 1/4 circle punch. Punch four 1 3/8 circles for mats. I also added four brads.
Here are these four pieces assembled
Cut four 6" pieces of matching ribbon, I am using Whisper White. Attach a glue dot to each end.
Wrap this around your love note and secure together. You could use a larger piece of ribbon and tie it completely around the note.
Add dimensionals to the back of the punched out circles and attach them over the ribbon on each Love Note. Tie a small piece of the ribbon around each ribbon strip for a knot, your Love Notes are complete.
Stamp your image again and this time punch it out with the small tag punch. If you want a greeting on this tag, punch it out so the image is near the top.
Add a mat and brad if desired to complete the tag. Punch a 1/8" hole near the top.
Put the cards and envelopes into the pouch and fold it up, I recommend two cards and two envelopes on each side. Cut another piece of ribbon to 16" thread both ends together up through the hole in the tag. Place the loop around the pouch and pull the ribbon taut around the pouch up throught the hole.
Tie the ends in a knot and trim, this creates a belly band that can be slipped on and off as needed.
