Here is a really great technique that I have seen in a few places. Get out your Stampin' Pastels and in minutes, you can create this background. I have created a video for this technique using the paper cutter to get evenly spaced lines and it is below the picture of the completed card.
Have fun with this technique, it is addicting!!
Supplies:
Spotlight on Christmas, Stem Sayings stamp sets
Ballet Blue, Lavender Lace, Taken with Teal card stock and ink
Stampin' Pastels, paper cutter, Dimensionals
Large Star Punch
Fabulous!! I’d never seen that before.. very cool!! 🙂 🙂 Patty
What a fun technique, thanks for the fabulous tutorial Barb!! Can’t wait to get back home and try it!!
Barb – I don’t do a lot with pastels (mine don’t look NEARLY as loved as yours – LOL) – does the chalk rub off the finished card? Or do you spray some type of “sealer” on it? Thanks for a great video tutorial!
This is great and you make it look so easy.
Do you need some type of sealant?
I feel a “CASE” coming on!

Wow, I would have never thought about using my trimmer to get the lines nice and straight! Thanks for sharing this technique, your cards are great!
That was TOO COOL!!! I’ve been a demo for 5+ years, and had never seen that! I love it! Who’d have thought to use that track for erasing???!!! Just awesome! 😀
