This is a project that I was showing at my December workshops and the gals loved it. It uses the Wandering Words stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Items in the mini won't be available after January 4th so if you have had your eye on it, say "Merry Christmas to me" and get it for yourself today. 🙂
The Real Red layer is 3 x 6 3/4 and the Whisper White is 2 3/4 x 6 3/4. I used a little 3/4 x 2 3/4 strip of striped paper from the Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper also in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I wrapped the yummy Real Red Polka Dot Ribbon around it and adhered it to the back of the Real Red layer. The three Silver Brads were added after I had the whole thing done so pay no attention to them on the inside. :-) I have since redone it and hidden the brads under the layers on the top.
The main body of the holder is a piece of Ballet Blue cut to 7 x 8 1/2, I put the longest edge up against the top of my paper cutter and scored it at 2 and 5 1/4. Fold on the score lines. Punch a half circle in the smallest section, fold up and use the Mono Multi Adhesive so it will stick really good.
Again, pay no attention to the Silver Brads showing on the inside as I added them as an after thought and did remake it so they didn't show. Look at this as what NOT to do!! The Happy Holidays greeting is from Many Merry Messages and the little corner accent if from the level 1 hostess set in the mini catalog called Patterned Pines. If you like this hostess set, you have a couple more weeks to place your orders.
