I had my Techniques Geeks and Big Shot Basics Classes this weekend. I will share the samples today and tomorrow.
Today I will show you samples from Technique Geeks Class, we now have 40 technique cards on our rings….WOW!!!! We learned Faux Dry Embossing and Colored Dry Embossing.
This is the Faux Dry Embossing. I love this technique with the Upsy Daisy stamp set.
We first stamped the image in Chocolate Chip and then over stamped it in Whisper White Craft Ink. We ran the whole front of the card through the Big Shot using the Distressed Texture Plate. The Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon and the 5/16" brad add some interest.
Our next technique is Colored Dry Embossing. We used the Pick A Petal and Seeing Spots Classy Brass Templates on page 186 and the NEW Garden Greetings set. I just love the bright and cheery colors on this card!!!
We Dry Embossed a tag cut from the Lots of Tags Sizzlit set. Then we used my Stampin' Pastels to gently add the color to the raised images. The background was stamped with the Garden Greetings set in Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink and Green Galore. A strip of Pixie Pink Textured card stock separates the two halves and I added a Lovely Lilac Oval cut with my Big Shot and the Ovals die under the main image.
