I am not sure if I want to give them away to keep them for myself!! We made these frames at my Holiday Giftables Class Saturday in Sheridan, Wyoming. I had some extra frames so I thought why not make a few more.
If you want to create one for yourself, here are the supplies you will need:
Season of Joy stamp set
Red acrylic paint
Modgepodge
Two pieces of Dashing Designer paper cut to 7×7 and 2 1/2 x 7 PAPERS ARE ON SALE THIS MONTH!!!!
River Rock Textured card stock 4 x 6
Real Red card stock 4 1/2 x 3 1/4
Brushed Gold card stock 3 3/4 x 3
Very Vanilla card stock 3 1/2 x 2 3/4
Gold Brads, 5/8 Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, Designer Label Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, wood frame
I put these frames together in about 2 1/2 hours. I started with the plain frame and painted the outside edge and the inside edge with red acrylic paint. I put modge podge over the front surface and placed my papers on top. I used my brayer to smooth out any bubbles and wrinkles.
Stamp two trees from Season of Joy in Old Olive ink, one on each edge of the Very Vanilla card stock. Stamp the third tree in the middle and slightly raised above the others. Also stamp the tree on a scrap of Very Vanilla. Cut this tree out (forget about the trunk and star as they are already on the main piece) and pop it up with dimensionals over the middle tree. Stamp the swirl in Real Red on the edges of the Real Red card stock and add three gold brads to the left edge. Mat the Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold onto the Real Red and then onto the Textured River Rock. Place this in the frame opening.
Stamp the snowflake image in Old Olive on another scrap of Very Vanilla and punch it out with the 1" circle punch. Punch a Designer Label out of Real Red and a 1 3/8 Circle out of Old Olive. Attach these together and add two gold brads to the edges. Cover one of your seams with this piece using Dimensionals.
Wrap the Real Red 5/8 Grosgrain Ribbon around the other seam and you have completed a darling Holiday decoration to keep or give away.
Thanks for looking and leave me a comment if you like this project.
