I have been playing around with my Botanical Builder Framelits and the coordinating Botanical Blooms stamp set and here is one of the cards I made.
I wanted a bold color combination as I wanted to use Basic Black. Went to the Designer Series Paper section in my Annual Catalog and found exactly what I was looking for. The colors in the Pretty Petals DSP stack were perfect for my project.
I started with a 4-1/4 x 11 sheet of Basic Black cardstock, placed it open on my Precision Base Plate and ran it through with the curved leaf edgelit included in the die set. This curved die is so cool!!! I then cut a quarter sheet of Mint Macaron and added it to the inside front layer of the card to really make it pop.

The leaves were cut from Old Olive and a couple of them were stamped with the coordinating image in Old Olive ink. I then gathered quarter sheets of my other colors, Mint Macaron, Pacific Point and Calypso Coral. I die cut each of the flowers from each color so I would have a bunch to play with. I just randomly started layering the different shapes and colors and came up with this combination and I love it!!
After I glued all the flowers down, the card was just missing something and I immediately thought of adding some sequins.
Sequins are so inexpensive and they really do add to any project.
I was thrilled when I checked my stash of sequins (I have them all plus the extras from my Paper Pumpkin kits) and found that the Brights Sequins contain Pacific Point!! They added just the right amount of bling. 🙂
I used these same colors and made a similar card and I will post that one tomorrow for you.
